Billy Gene Holloway, Sr.
Memorial Services for Mr. Billy Gene Holloway, Sr., 76, of Rayville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Woodson McGuffie officiating. Interment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Holloway was born on June 30, 1937 and died on August 21, 2013 in Monroe, LA. He was a Farmer, Cropduster, Musician and a hardworking man. He is preceded in death by his son, Chris Holloway and by his parents, Charles and Emma Holloway, and sister, Betty Eckman.
Survivors include his children, Kay Gilley and husband, Mike, J’Laine Jones, Billy Holloway and wife, Melissa, Darlene Burke and husband, Tim and Kristi Groze; grandchildren, Billy Joel Holloway, Michael Gilley, Chad Holloway, Charlie Dean, Dylan Dean, Daniel Gilley and Katie Gilley; four great grandchildren; brother, Bub Holloway and wife, Erma Jean; sisters, Marie Kelch, Dorothy Davis and Linda Lemon and husband, Jim; brother-in-law, Doug Eckman; and a special friend, Rodney Guin.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Service Time on Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons and granddaughter.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Leann Tanner, Dr. Brookhouse, Dr. Rickman, Dr. Sampognaro and all the nurses and staff at St. Francis Medical Center for the excellent care that was given to Mr. Holloway during this time.
