Funeral Services for Miss Billie Maxine Takewell, 88, of Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Swartz First Baptist Church, with Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
Miss Takewell was born December 13, 1930 and passed away on March 25, 2019. She was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church and the Rebecca’s. Miss Takewell was a former secretary at Swartz First Baptist Church. She received the Presidents Award from Avon. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and most of all sitting and reading her bible.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Takewell, Sr and Ruby Staley Takewell.
Survivors include her brother, Earl Takewell, Jr.; god-son, Dusty Hubanks; cousin, Jennifer Takewell Kicks; grandchildren, Dustin Hubanks, Kori M’Lynn Hicks, Drake Hubanks, Aubree Takewell, and Drayson Hubanks.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Hubanks, John Takewell, Johnny Ray Caps, Dustin Hubanks, Charles McGraw, and John McGraw. Honorary Pallbearer will be Charlie Lee MCGraw.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Swartz First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Swartz First Baptist Church.
