Billie Etheredge Walker

A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Billie June Etheredge Walker, 90, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Pine Grove Church, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Dale Walker officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Walker was born May 24, 1927, in Corsicana, TX, and passed away December 6, 2017, in Monroe, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Meredith Walker, Sr.; son, Frank Meredith Walker, Jr.; granddaughter, Nina Elise Walker; parents, Truly Etheredge and Bessie Webb Etheredge.
She is survived by her son, Dale Walker and his wife Lydia; her daughters, Becky Ford and her husband Keith, Melanie Turner and her husband Randy, Lisa Herrock and her husband John, and Carrie Walker; grandchildren, Jared Walker and his wife Colby, Lindsey Swander and her husband Bill, Austin Turner and his wife Lauren, Whitney Foster and her husband David, Mollie Cline and her husband Aaron, Carlie and Maggie Turner, Caitlin, Emma, Olivia and Owen Herrock, Andrew Ford, Liz Ford Cottrill and her husband Ben, Meredith Price, Brooke Strickland and her husband Ben, Slade Walker and his wife Shannon, Carmen Mijalis and her husband Andrew; nephews, Joe and Jerry Walker; nieces, Connie Galloway and Cathy Donovan; Great-Grandchildren, Ella, Madeline, Ava, Walker, Sadie, Dylan, Anna, Naomi, William, James, Anna, Lucas, Jack, Blake, Aubrey, Ila, Wyatt, Vera and Eleanor.
Her grandchildren said it best…she was a woman of great faith. She was kind, loving, funny and fun. She was powerful, but approachable and never met a stranger. She commanded presence but never asked for the attention. There aren’t enough words to explain how incredible she was. She was the matriarch of 30-plus family members, but she was beloved by so many more. We will carry her in our hearts all the days of our lives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Church.
We would like to thank her caregivers at St. Francis MICU Randy, John, Caroline, Jennifer, and Danni.
