Funeral Services for Ms. Billie Alderman, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Liberty Grove Church of God, West Monroe with Rev. Tim Williams and Rev. Tim Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Grove Church of God Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.Ms. Billie Alderman, known to so many as simply, Sister Billie, will always be remembered as a true and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Her prayers were woven into every conversation and she truly prayed without ceasing.A glimpse into her home revealed what was important to Billie and some of the many reasons we loved to visit- from her refrigerator covered with the names and pictures of those she prayed for daily, to her open Bible and reference books, and quite possibly, a fresh batch of mincemeat cookies or fruit preserves. Billie was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and although unable to travel much in later years, she had a love and passion for missions. Her laugh was sweet and her hugs were plentiful. Both will be greatly missed. So, remember Billie however you wish- as a mother, grandmother, Bible teacher, bus driver, missionary, neighbor, or friend. But more than this, remember that she loved the Lord with all her body, mind, and soul and she would want- more than anything- for you to love Him, too.She is preceded in death by her parents, Myra L. Stennett and Harvey Lee Alderman; sons, Charles H. Kendrick and James A. Wallace; sister, Mary R. Carter; brothers, Lee Roy Alderman, Lawrence Alderman, and Douglas Alderman.Survivors include her children, Alta Mills and husband Matt, Ronnie Lee Wallace and wife Gail, William Patrick Wallace and wife Susie, Mary Edith Flowers and husband Thomas Clark; grandchildren, Angela Mosher and husband Tim, Amy Williams and husband Tim, Alicia Graves and husband Randy, Miranda Rogers, Tasha Vaughn, Lance Kendrick and wife Danielle, Jared Wallace, Ryan Wallace, Kristie Brady and husband Harty, and Krystal Flowers; step-grandchildren, Shannon Murphy and wife Crystal, Nick Flowers, Jennifer Thurmon and husband Darryl, Candace Roush, and Michael Roush; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Mary Helen, Micah, Ruthie, Solomon, Gideon, Silas, Jaelle, Tate, Spencer, Madison, Steven, KateLynn, Brittany, Joseph, Taylor, Hali, Keagan, Jordan, Erik, Alicia, Faith, Aimee, and Emily; step great-grandchildren, Hanley, Kynslee, Abbi, Ava, Andi, Breanna, Aydan, Mason, and Michael; great-great- grandchildren, Gabriella and Kaydence; and numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Caleb, Tate, Spencer, Jared, Shannon and Harty.Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
