Funeral service for Mrs. Beverly Kay Levie, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00PM Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Levie was born on October 18, 1936, in Jonesville, LA, and passed away on March 28, 2021, in Monroe. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. Mrs. Levie worked for LA Power and Light and later taught Pre K at North Monroe Baptist Church. She loved playing cards with her friends and all the boys in her neighborhood called her their 2nd mother. Mrs. Levie was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Levie; sister, Vera Harvey; and brother, Charles Wiley.
Survivors include her son, Kent Levie; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Woodward and husband Bobby and their children, Kinsley and Laken Woodward and Lance Levie and wife Kristi and their children Leah and Anna Kay Levie; sister, Bobbie Fory; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Wiley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Keegan Wiley, Larry Bass, John Holloway, Greg Gwin, Miche Fandal, Wade Jackson, and Billy Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Borden and Coach Dalton Harrell.
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
