Funeral services for Beverly Jo Jennings Thompson, 74, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, with Rev. Ray Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville.Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at her residence. Her artistic abilities spanned many different crafts but she was most known for her beautiful china painting. She and her husband, G. B., owned many businesses over the years including Bayou Crafters in West Monroe. She was a loving and caring person who answered to many names by many family and friends: “the Wife”, Mama, Mamaw, Granny, Aunt Jo, Beverly, Beverly Jo, and Jo. To know Beverly Jo Thompson was to know love and compassion.Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Catherine Franklin Jennings; husband of 48 years, G. B. Thompson, III; and brother, Billy Jennings.Survivors include her daughter, Denese Dunn, and husband, Paul; son, Rodney Thompson; grandsons, Derek Parker, Drew Parker, Johnathan Thompson, Thomas Thompson and Timothy Thompson; brother, Charlie Ray Jennings, Sr; sisters, Jean Young and husband, Charles, and Carrie Francis Baird; a host of nieces and nephews; and several self-proclaimed children and grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Ray Jennings, Mike Jennings, Joey Young, Todd Young, Chuck Jennings and Lary Horne.Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.If you wish, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
