Betty Sue Rice

Funeral service Mrs. Betty Sue Rice, 73, of Monroe, LA, will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 5, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Roger Stoffer and Deacon Bill Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Rice was born on September 30, 1947, in Monroe and passed away on June 1, 2021, in Monroe. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Monroe. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her parents, Artis Driggers and Ruth Elizabeth Boullt; brothers, Gene Mathews, Thomas Drigger, Harold Mathews, Bobby Mathews, and Billy Boullt; daughter, Cassandra Drigger; grandson, Joshua Kilcrease.

Survivors include her husband of 53years, N.J. Rice; children, Tammi Moore and husband Mike; Nathan Mark Rice; Stephanie Hubanks and husband Dusty; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Robert Driggers; and two sisters, Carol Gilley and Elizabeth McMurry.

Pallbearers will be Dillan Kilcrease, Ethan Miller, Dustin Hubanks, Greg Gilley, Lance Brooks, and Tyler Hunter.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
