Betty Nadine Brown Melton

A graveside service for Mrs. Betty Nadine Brown Melton, 90, of Mer Rouge, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 31, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Melton was born January 9, 1933, in Shreveport, LA, and passed away August 30, 2023, in Mer Rouge, LA.

Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Melton, Jr.; her parents, Loyd and Willie Smith Brown; and her brother, Troy Brown.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Melton (Pat) and Ronald Melton (Judy); grandson, Dr. Stuart Melton (Jennifer); granddaughters, Christie Melton and Tracy Murphy; great grandchildren, Andi Grace Melton, Anna Dale Melton, Andon Stuart Melton, Karley Murphy, Trent Swayze, Annabell Murphy, James Swayze, and Haley Palmerin; and her brother, Maxie Brown.

The pallbearers will be Stuart Melton, Andon Melton, Trent Swayze, James Swayze, Jerry Moffet and Shelby Funderburk. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Melton and Charles Roberson.
