Betty Louise Lewis Eldridge, 82, formerly of Winnsboro, was born February 10, 1935, and passed away peacefully at home in Duluth, Georgia, March 22, 2017. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 25th in the Chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Her homegoing service will be led by Dr. Alan Miller and Bro. Jimmy Harper at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26th at Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Always with a smile, Betty made friends everywhere she went and shared her love, hugs, and encouraging words with all. The same love and care was also manifested beautifully in the landscaping and decorations of her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Ray Eldridge, Sr., son, Marshall Ray Eldridge, Jr., great grandson, Elijah Cain Eldridge, parents, Lester and Clara Huff Lewis, brother, Roy Lewis, and sisters, Dorothy Sikes and June Garrett.
She leaves her love and fond memories to her daughter, Marilyn Eldridge Sailor and husband, Charles, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, son, Roger Eldridge and wife, Teresa, of Duluth, Georgia, grandchildren, Marshall Levi Eldridge and wife, Kelly, Amber Eldridge, Chase Sailor, Sydney Sailor, and Jason Eldridge and wife, Angella, great grandchildren Alex, Julien, and Gabriel Eldridge, and Avery, Emily and Dylan Bonnette, brother, J.A. Lewis of Wisconsin, and sisters, Opal Biggs of Crowville, and Helen Brown of Winnsboro.
Pallbearers Levi Eldridge, Jason Eldridge, Mitchell Sikes, Steve Sampley, Paul Lofton, and Carey Glyn Stevens will honor Betty to her final resting place in Crowville Masonic Cemetery.
