Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Johnston, 77, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 17, 2020, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, in West Monroe, with Dr. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Betty was born March 13, 1943 in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and passed from this life July 14, 2020, in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Edgar Johnston; son, Barry Duane Johnston; great-grandson, Colton Charles Davis; mother, Nela Mae Jones Pitman; father, Jethro Leander Pitman; brothers, Otha Pete Pitman and Willie Leo Pitman; and sister, Earline Spencer.
Mrs. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Henry, Jr.; son, Dennis Keith Johnston (Karen); brother, JL Pitman (Betty); daughter-in-law, Lisa Johnston; granddaughters, Brandi Lea Davis (Jacob), Briley Lynn Johnston, Brenna Johnston Jordan; grandsons, Daniel Keith Johnston (Kayla), Brandon Johnston; ,step-son, Bobby Henry (Jen); great- grandkids, Brooklyn Johnston, Ava Davis, Connor Davis, Nova Jordan, and John Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Keith Johnston, Brandon Johnston, Jacob Roy Davis, Johnny Pitman, Ricky Gates, Connie Rush and Bobby Henry.
Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until service time on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
