Mrs. Betty WalkerFuneral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Betty Walker, 87, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 23, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach, LA with Rev. Larry Linson and Rev. Connie Smith officiating. Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.Mrs. Walker was born June 16, 1928 in Dubach, LA and passed away October 18, 2015 in Monroe, LA. She and her husband were long time members of Edgewood Baptist Church in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, William T. and Betty Ruth Knowles; husband, Mr. Durward Walker; brother, Billie Knowles; sister, Penny Ford; and brother-in-law, Russell Rainbolt.Survivors include her children, Larry Walker and wife Sarah, Dennis Walker and wife Nancy, and Judy Walker; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ted Knowles and wife Joyce and Terry Knowles and wife Glenda; sister, Ruby Rainbolt; brother-in-law, Eddie Ford; sisters-in-law, Rosie Knowles, Evelyn Fuller and husband Bruce and Lettie Walker; special friends, Bridget and Kyle Belmont; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard Rainbolt, Scott Knowles, Kevin Knowles, Donnie Knowles, John Ford and John Thrower.Honorary Pallbearers will be Gabe Walker, Lane Walker, Austin Leeper and Dr. Chris Najberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe and also, from 2:00 P.M. until service time on Friday at the church. The family would like to give special thanks to The Oaks Nursing Home for their loving care for Mrs. Walker, especially Leroy and also, to Hospice Compassus, Amy and Becky.
