Betty Jean Wilkerson Avery

Graveside service for Mrs. Bettie Jean Wilkerson Avery, 89, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove, LA, with Rev. Roger Stoffer officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home 230 Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday, March 15, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
Mrs. Avery was born on September 22, 1931, in Oak Grove, LA, and passed away on March 12, 2021, in West Monroe. She loved gardening and cooking. Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Avery; son, Gary Wilkerson; and grandson, Scotty Wilkerson.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Waldroup, Kenneth Wilkerson and Fae Adams, and Randy Wilkerson and wife Lauri; grandchildren, Michael Wilkerson and wife Nicole, Shaun Wilkerson and wife Shonna, Brandon Myers and Angela, Chelsea Russell and husband Jesse, Kevin Wilkerson and wife Janna, Garrett Wilkerson, and Matthew Wilkerson; daughter-in-law, Dale Wilkerson; nine great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
