Betty Bottorff

Betty Bottorff, age 81 of Newellton, LA passed from this life on Christmas morning, December 25, 2017.

A memorial service is planned for January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Newellton, LA with Brother Whit Bass officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Bottorff was born of the union of John and Claudie Arnold on April 24, 1936 in Newellton, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and before that, Bethany Baptist Church. She has resided in Newellton for the past twenty years. Before that she resided in Birmingham, Alabama where she raised her five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Bottorff in 1983.

Survivors include: brother, Charles Arnold of Venice, CA, sister, Mabel Broussard of Portland, OR, 5 children; Hank Smith of Naples, FL, Darlynn Brown of Newellton, LA, Shirley Thornton of Hernando, FL, Dawn McNevin of Kenya, Africa, and Cherie Bottorff of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
