Gathering of Remembrance for Mrs. Bertie Louise Lizenby, 89, of Monroe, LA, formerly of Rayville, LA, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Monroe. Entombment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

 

Mrs. Lizenby was born August 22, 1933 and passed away on December 4, 2022. She was a member of First Baptist Rayville. Mrs. Lizenby owned and operated Troy’s Grocery from 1957-1978. She enjoyed walking, singing, and most of all spending time with family.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred O. Honeycutt and Minnie Watts Honeycutt; husband, Troy W. Lizenby; sister, Francis Lisotta; brother, John W. Honeycutt; and sister, Juanita Crockett.

 

Survivors include her son, Troy L. Lizenby and wife Sandra; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Clara Wells; two brother, Kenneth Honeycutt and Clinton Honeycutt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Farmerville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Caring Hands Hospice.
