Funeral services for Bernard Thomas “B.T.” Kaylor, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Monroe with Rev. Craig West officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Kaylor died Monday, November 28, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe, where he taught the Woodruff Sunday School Class, a member of Rotary, the High Twelve Club, and the Grand Lodge of Louisiana F&AM LA #102. Mr. Kaylor was a CPA and taught Accounting at NLU. He retired from the U. S. Army serving during WWII.
Mr. Kaylor was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Kaylor.
Survivors include his two daughters, Kay Ann Garrett and husband John, and Kerry Sue Nichols and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Tommy Garrett and wife Felicia, Jeremy Garrett and wife Jasmin, Corey Barnhill, Jamie Nichols, and Kelly Nichols; great grandchildren, John Thomas, Chandler, and Jayce Garrett, and Sadie, Jessy, Emily, and Addison Hudnall.
Pallbearers will be John Garrett, Rodney Nichols, Tommy Garrett, Jamie Nichols, Steve Whipple, and John Thomas Garrett.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, and Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Monroe.
