Funeral Services Celebrating the life of Mr. Benton Owen “Junior” Terral, 89, of Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Morgan McAllister and Rev. Larry Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Terral was born on March 21, 1929 and passed away on July 15, 2018. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for 19 years with Adair GMC in Monroe, LA, then in 1968 went to work for Davison Transport in Ruston, LA, where he started as a Diesel Mechanic and retired in 2008, at the age of 80, as Vice President of Davison Motor Company. Benton enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. Mr. Terral was a member of the West Monroe Masonic Lodge
#419, a life member of the NRA and also served 8 years with the Louisiana National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benton Terral and Irene Owens Terral; and by his brother, James Terral.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elsie Fitzgerald Terral; daughter, Brenda Mae Terral and his son, Benton Owen Terral Jr.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hendrix, Paul Branch, Terry Wilson, Don Pylant, Brett Nobles, Brad Terral, James Davison, Jim Davison, Sammy Calloway, and Daryel Hendrix.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until Service Time on Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA or to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr.’s Clyde Elliott, Brian Moore, Scott Barron, Ronald Keopke, Rose Jumah, Ron Hammett, Mark Boersma, and Larry Thirstrup and all the staff and nurses at Glenwood Regional Medical Center, E.R. and ICU for their compassion and care of Mr. Terral during his illness.
