Benjamin Curney Kelly

Funeral services for Benjamin Curney Kelly, 63, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 28, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time, Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelly was born July 3, 1954, in Monroe, LA, and passed away April 23, 2018, at his home in Monroe, LA. Curney had a great appreciation for art and music and was gifted to play almost any instrument. He was a master craftsman of woodworking and carpentry and was particular about using the Fibonacci method of measuring. He enjoyed sketching and painting and leaves an impressive collection of works.

Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, James D. Kelly, Sr. and Elethia Edwards Kelly; 2 brothers, James Douglas Kelly, Jr., and Robert Pheland Kelly.

Survivors include his brother, John D. Kelly and wife Vicki; niece, Kenda K. Ducote and husband Darren; great-niece, Addison Ducote; and 2 nieces, Sarah Kelly Greene and husband Jordan, and Katherine Kelly.
