Barbara Aulds Tonore

July 29, 1943 — January 27, 2019

Mansfield: Barbara Aulds Tonore, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grand mother passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, January 27th, 2019.

Celebration of Life: Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 at Dr. and Mrs. Michael Zambie, 1608 Island Drive, Monroe, LA from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Barbara was born July 29, 1943 in Monroe, LA to Hayward Robert and Havis Louise Aulds and was the middle daughter, with sisters Betty Bell and Martha Barnes. She grew up in West Monroe, loved sports and attended West Monroe High School, where she was a cheerleader and voted Most Beautiful. Barbara later attended Girl State in Baton Rouge. Barbara married her high school sweetheart, the late James Joseph (Jim) Tonore, also of Monroe, LA. Barbara and Jim were married in April 1961 and later moved into the Walnut Creek area of Mansfield in 1985.

Barbara was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, Texas.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tonore, her long-time companion, Ted Skelley, and sister Martha Lorraine Barnes.

Survivors: Children, Todd and Tonya Tonore of Mansfield, TX, Les and Tami Tonore Owen of Bellaire, TX, and Jim and Bambi Tonore of Monroe, LA; Sister, Betty Louise Bell; Grandchildren, Michael Tonore, Beth Tonore Nalewaik, Lindsey Tonore Heefner, Ashby Tonore, Payton Tonore, Brelan Owen, Kobi Owen, Emory Tonore, Bailey Tonore; Great grandchildren, Ellie Grace Tonore-Viner, Benji Heefner, Austin Heefner and Wade Tonore.

Interment will be at a later date in Mulhearn Memorial Park.
