Barbara Ann Amason

Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Amason, 82, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Pastor Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday.

Barbara Ann Amason was born July 29, 1940 and passed away October 19, 2022. She enjoyed reading and talking on the phone with her sister, Saundra, daily discussing politics on their conservative views. Barbara loved spending time with her family and spent years adoring her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was known as “Pemaw” to not only her grandchildren but to all of their friends as well. Her sense of humor will be remembered by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Amason; her mother, Inez Russell; and brothers, Buddy McMillan and Jerry McMillan.

Survivors include her sister, Saundra Devereux; her children, Cheryl Walker, Tracey Moncrief (Joel), Grady Rice (Jennifer), Arden Frost (Rock), and Kennedy Amason; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Moncrief, Heath Moncrief, Matt Rice, Kaleb Amason, Hayden Frost, and Jacob Rice.
