Memorial Services for Bane Harold Cook will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 2:00 pm at North Monroe Baptist Church. Bane was born on August 5, 1925 in Grand Tower, Illinois and went to his Heavenly Home on April 16, 2022. Services will be officiated by Warren Eckhardt, associate pastor and friend.
Through the years, Bane was an active and faithful servant at First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, College Place Baptist Church and North Monroe Baptist Church. He loved his friends and enjoyed the fellowship of the Standifer Life Group. Bane was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a 1957 graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science. He retired from Citi Services as a Supervisor of Instrumentation.
Bane was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Cook, brother, Leon Cook, granddaughter, Carole Cook and wife, Edith Cook.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gay Cook, children, George Cook (Ann), Charles Cook (Jeannine), Lisa Cook Simpson, Randy Cook (Ronda), Teresa Kirton (Bobby), and Lana Sims (Mark). Grandchildren, Bobby Cook (Ashley), Bane Cook (Debra), Reed Cook, Meredith Cook, Andrew Simpson, Amanda Simpson, Aaron Simpson, Caroline Cook, Morgan Cook, Lauren Kirton Petrunin (Zhenya), Lindsay Kirton Cortez (Richard), Easton Sims and Sterling Sims. Great Grandchildren, Sullivan, Finley, Rhett and Mila and a special cousin, Barbara Adams.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be his friends in the Standifer Life Group.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 21 from 1:00–2:00 pm prior to the service at North Monroe Baptist Church.
