Aubie Lee Powell, Jr.

Funeral service for Mr. Aubie Lee Powell, Jr., 94, of Sterlington, LA, will be held 2:00PM Thursday, June 24, 2021, at First Baptist Church Sterlington with Rev. Dennis Hackler and Rev. Ben Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time Thursday at First Baptist Church Sterlington.
Mr. Powell was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked and retired from IMC in Sterlington. Mr. Powell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sterlington, where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Day Powell the mother of his children, and his son, Michael Powell.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Johnnie Sue Burgess Powell; son, Jimmy Powell and wife Donna; daughter, Kathy Moore and husband Richard; grandsons, Shane Powell and wife Jodi, Ryan Powell and wife Nikki, Dusty Powell and wife Erin, Eric Moore and wife Heather Brooke, and Paul Michael Moore and wife Katelyn; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Powell, Eric Moore, Ryan Powell, Paul Michael Moore, Dusty Powell, and Glenn Fabian. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church Sterlington.
