Ashley Benton Bradley was born December 21, 1947 and entered heaven July 2, 2024. Ashley was the oldest child of Joe Eleanor and Jake Benton. She graduated from Neville High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University.
On May 2, 1970, Ashley married Vernon Bradley and they were blessed to celebrate 54 years of marriage. They were involved in sporting clay shooting across the South. Ashley loved the competition, making lasting friendships, and achieved national championship awards. Ashley loved to laugh and always had a smile and funny story to share. She remembered months, days, and even years of family and friends’ birthdates and special events. We will always remember her love for her family and friends. Ashley also loved nature and cared for all living creatures, especially Daisy and the deer that she fed daily.
Most importantly, Ashley loved the Lord and trusted His divine plan. Ashley and Vernon attended The Oaks Church in Monroe, LA.
Ashley is survived by her husband, Vernon Bradley; sister, Andrea Gladney (Goodwin); brothers, Richard Benton (Margery), Kevin Benton (Suzanne), Mike Benton (Debbie), Rusty Benton; sister-in-law, Nancy Bradley; brothers-in-law, David Bradley (Karen) and Robert Earnest; nieces and nephews, Lauren Gladney Rogers (Ben), Jake Gladney, Daniel Gladney, Cody Benton (Brittany), Emily Benton Spillers (Forrest), Caroline Benton, Luke Benton, Jared Benton, Ashley Benton (Mary), Morgan Benton Showman (Kelly), Keith Benton (Courtney), Kimberly Benton Higgins (Brad).
Ashley is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Eleanor and Jake Benton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elvis and Vernon N. Bradley; sisters-in-law, Sheri Lemoine Benton, Midge Earnest, Mary Ann Bradley; brothers-in-law, William Douglas Bradley, Milton Bradley (Sandra).
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday July 06, 2024 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. J. P. Cannon, Rev. Chris Bates and Rev. Chad Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery with a private family gathering.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
