Funeral Service for Mr. Arthur Frank Craig, Jr., 77, of Bay St. Louis, MS formerly of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Private family graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Born May 10, 1938 to Margaret Grower and Arthur Frank Craig, Sr., he died April 30, 2016 in Houston, TX. He was a resident of Bay St. Louis, MS. A native of West Monroe, Art graduated from West Monroe High School, Northeast Louisiana University and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he earned his MBA. Art was a U.S. Army veteran having served at Fort Smith in Arkansas. He was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. He then became self-employed. Raised by his father to be an avid outdoorsman, Art hunted and fished most of his life. Like his father, he passed down his love of the outdoors to his children, as evident by the many trips he took with them to places like Canada, Minnesota, the Ozarks, and the Florida Keys. A big fan of all things sports related, Art was always willing to discuss the coaching philosophy of Les Miles and he followed LSU baseball religiously. He is survived by his daughters, Jan Craig (Bill) Clinkscale of Fort Worth, TX and LeAnn Craig (Tommy) Pittenger of Baton Rouge, LA; a son Arthur Frank, III 'Trey' (Michele) Craig of Ponte Vedra, FL; six grandchildren, Avery and Julia Clinkscale, Emma and Georgia Pittenger and Mia and Lily Craig; two sisters, Betty Bolton and Dorothy Craig, both of Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Pallbearers will be Tommy Pittenger, Bill Clinkscale, Avery Clinkscale, Ralph McNabb, Johnny Marzula, Pete Grower and Jeff Carter.Arts children are grateful to the caring staff at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital for their kindness and compassion, most especially Ann.
