Funeral mass celebrating the life of Mrs. Antoinette Marie Bivens, 92, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday May 13, 2022, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Michael Thang’wa and Rev. Mark Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Bivens died May 9, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Bivens was a longtime member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was a member of the Progressive Men’s Club Ladies Auxiliary. Antoinette loved her Louisiana and Italian culture. She enjoyed going on trips with fellow members from the Ouachita Council on Aging.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Virgil Bivens and her parents, Veto J. and Mary Dispenza.
Survivors: her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Mike Lee; her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Mona Bivens and Vic and Penny Bivens; grandchildren, Jennifer Everett (Chad), Mike Lee, Jr. (Jo Ellen), Lori Dement (Alan), Nicole Ramsey (Greg), Krista Richardson (Dewayne), Ashley Mahoney (Ryan), John Virgil Bivens (Amanda), Jordan Warner (Ryan), Morgan Bostick (Josh), and Seth Bivens (Nicole); and 25 Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lee, Jr., Blake Everett, Ryan Warner, Josh Bostick, John Virgil Bivens, and Greg Ramsey.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Vigil Wake Service at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sabrina, Bonnie and Mary Anne for the care they gave to our mother during her illness.
