Funeral services for U S Navy Chief Petty Officer (Retired) Anthony Thomas Danna, Sr., 84, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2019, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Paul Thunduparampil officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Anthony T. Danna was born December 20, 1934, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, at St. Francis Medical Center. Chief Petty Officer Danna was a U. S. Navy veteran of 41 years having served during the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Desert Storm. He was then self-employed with Superglass Windshield Repair. Mr. Danna was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and North Louisiana Bowling Association.
Mr. Danna was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnna Marsala Danna; father, Anthony Stephen Danna; and stepmother, Virginia Miletello Danna; sister, Anna Danna Miletello; brother, Joseph Vincent Danna.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Irene Danna; son, Anthony Thomas Danna, Jr.; daughter, Nicole Lynn Danna; brother, Steve Jack Danna; sister, Patsy Danna Rosatto; granddaughter, Hannah Currington (Bryan); grandsons, Anthony G. Danna and Dakota L. Hodge.; and great-grandchildren, Bryan A. Currington, Jr. and Sierra P. Currington.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Tim Miletello, Butch Miletello, Tony Miletello, Joe Danna, Craig Danna, and Brian Rosatto. Honorary pallbearer will be nephew, Stephen Danna.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2019, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
