Annie Faye Hutson Hilburn

November 14, 1938 — May 14, 2016

Annie Faye Hutson Hilburn would like to let you know that her work here is done as of May 14, 2016. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with Husband Charles Hilburn and Parents Hill and Sallie Hutson and many other friends and family she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, cooking, and praying to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. She left detailed instructions for her family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.Faye’s mission will be completed by her children; son, Tracy Hilburn and wife Judy Hilburn, of West Monroe; daughter, Kim Hilburn Neeley and Melissa Bloomer of West Monroe; son, Chris Hilburn and Megan Tallent of West Monroe; her grandchildren; Matthew and Amber Hilburn, Justin McMillan, Hutson and Evie Hilburn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; A legacy of lifelong friends and loved ones, including Bobby and Frances Buchanan, “Little Man” Bryce Buchanan and too many numerous others to list but not forgotten. Family and friends want to thank St. Francis Medical Center nurses and doctors, as they kept Faye laughing, comfortable and happy within her final stay with us. Faye was a lifelong devoted member of Jackson Street Church of Christ, where everyone tried to be in line first at potluck for her chicken and dumplings. Above all, she loved…Faye never met a person she didn’t love. You could never leave her without a hug or a strong squeeze of the hand. Come join the family and friends of Annie Faye Hutson Hilburn in a celebration of her life, love and faith on Tuesday evening between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and funeral services will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at her beloved church, Jackson Street Church of Christ, with Don DeLukie, Terry Ware and Travis Bookout officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Great stories and laughter are appreciated to celebrate Faye’s new assignment!Donations can be made to her beloved charity, Med Camps of West Monroe, Louisiana.
