Funeral services for Mrs. Annette (Danna) Anzelmo, 89, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Anzelmo was born December 9, 1919 and passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 from cancer, after 89 years. During WWII, working for Army Air Corp, she met and married Philip T. Anzelmo. They were most remembered in Monroe and West Monroe for being the Managers of the Star and Joy Drive-in Theaters during the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Anzelmo and parents, Anthony and Anna Danna of Irabia, Italy.
She was one of fifteen children and is survived by her four brothers, Paul, Johnny, Sam, and Angelo Danna; her two sons, Anthony J. Anzelmo and George V. Anzelmo and wife Pat; daughter, Maria Anzelmo Rosatto and husband Raymond; daughter-in-law, Pat Anzelmo; grandchildren, Sandra , Stephanie, Scotty and James; great grandchildren, Morgan, Peyton, Connor, Rebekah, Kristopher, Emilee, Karlee, Gabrielle, and Nicki; one great great grandson, Lincoln; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Anzelmo, Scotty Rosatto, Norman Whetsten, and Jimmy Knighten.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2009 , with a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 PM, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
