Anne Johnson Lee, Anne, was born on January 20, 1938, in Monroe, Louisiana to Simon and Doyce Johnson and passed on from this life on July 17, 2023. Both sides of Anne’s family were strong Christians and devoted to family. Anne had two daughters, Ginger Simone and Shari Anne who grew into faithful Christian women. In death, Anne leaves behind her daughters Ginger Simone Lee Schanks, Shari Lee Walker, her beloved son-in-law Doug Schanks, her dearly loved and cherished grandchildren Jeffrey Soileau, Ryan Soileau, Hancock Walker, Morgan Walker, as well as her great grands: Grady Soileau, Hadley Anne Soileau, Jack Soileau, Riley Rae Soileau, Molly M. Soileau as well as Henri Walker.
Wherever she found herself, Anne made that place more beautiful and better than it was before she left it. She loved God with all her heart walking in Jesus’ light all the days of her life. She was truly faithful to the end. She courageously fought the “Good Fight” while experiencing the many troubles and trials of this life. Anne’s life was dedicated to following Jesus’ Great Commission to “Go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature,” Matt. 28:20. Anne did not want anyone to be lost which was demonstrated in her walk with Jesus. She was forever encouraging to her family with one of her last words to her eldest daughter, Ginger, was “Baby, keep your Faith”.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
