Ann Moore

Linda Ann Moore, 74, residing in Monroe, LA passed away on March 1, 2023 after a long illness.

Ann was born on July 21, 1948 to Howell and Louise Moore in Atlanta, GA. She grew up in Decatur, GA and graduated from Decatur High School in 1966. Ann graduated from Georgia State University in 1970 and began a career in social work before becoming a paralegal.

For many years, Ann enjoyed all the aspects of what the Atlanta area had to offer: family, friends, restaurants, and entertainment. She especially enjoyed beach vacations with friends and family, and a trip to London with her mother and sister Carmen was also a highlight. In 2017 Ann moved to Monroe, LA to be closer to Carmen.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carmen Jackson and is survived by her nieces, Kim Wilson (Robert) of Silver Spring, MD, and Kathy Anderson (Russell) of Roswell, GA; nephew, Mike Jackson (Tracy) of Monroe, LA; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Jackson of Monroe, LA.

Graveside services will be held at Decatur Cemetery at a date to be determined. The family would like to thank Ann’s caregivers at The Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation.
