Angelia Lee

Angelia Lee, 58, of West Monroe passed away January 19, 2021. She was born October 3, 1962 in West Monroe to Kenneth and Helen Cheek.

She loved spending time with her family, especially those 2 grandkids who lovingly called her “LaLa”. Shopping was high on her list of things she enjoyed doing with her mom, daughter and daughter-in-law; just look in her closet, you will quickly learn just how much she loved it. She married her best friend, Bart Lee, on June 12, 1982, and he spent his time doting on her and taking such good care of her. They loved their trips to the islands and he was always planning the next trip he was going to take her on. She always looked forward to waking up in paradise, what a comfort knowing that’s exactly where she is now. Angelia was called “the bear” by those who REALLY knew her and knew how much she loved her sleep. It’s hard to believe that our bear has gone into hibernation, but rejoice knowing she is coming out in the most beautiful place she could ever imagine with her sweet Mom welcoming her.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Bart Lee; son, Matt Lee and wife, Anna; daughter, Katie Hubbard and husband, Michael; father, Kenneth Cheek; sister, Elisa Bourgeois and husband, Jody; and her grandchildren, Logan and Mary Grace Lee.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Cheek.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Fair Park
Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waymond Warren and Darris Waren officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Pallbearers will be Doug Mitchell, Dustin Mitchell, Allen Neal, Chad Bourgeois, Wayne Seidenspinner and Chadwick Kinsfather.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday at Fair Park Baptist Church.
