Funeral services for Alyce Fortenberry Davis, 95, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Davis passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015, at The Arbor & Terrace of West Monroe, LA.Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her father and mother, Perry Norman “P.N.” Fortenberry and Sarah Ella Jones Fortenberry; her husband, Jiles N. Davis, Sr.; her sisters, Roma Kathleen Hutchinson and husband Sam; Gladyce Thelma Gallaspy and husband Glenn, Edna Odale Agusiewicz and her husband Henry; her brothers, William Horace Fortenberry and his wife Narvelle, George Wade Fortenberry and his wife Isaleyne, Norman Guy Fortenberry and his wife Violet; and her brother-in-law Earl “Flash” Williams.Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Jiles N. Davis, Jr. and his wife Brenda, Glenn Otis Davis and wife Joy, James Ronald Davis and his wife Eileen of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Jiles N. “Jay” Davis III, Jefferson W. Davis, Ragan W. Davis, Andrew P. Davis and Christie Lorraine Davis Holyfield; great-grandchildren, Ewen Wallace Davis, Eleanor Alyce Davis, Michael Brennan Holyfield, Lindsay Katherine Holyfield and Avery Lauren Holyfield; sister, Lila Lee Fortenberry Williams; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
