Alvin Dee Ashton

Memorial services for Mr. Alvin Dee Ashton, 82, of Bernice, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2020, at Mt Tabor Baptist Church north of Farmerville, LA, with Rev. Tony Walton and Rev. Timmy Burns officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Ashton died December 6, 2020, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Al was retired from the United States Air Force in Alaska after 20 years of service. He spent the next 25 years with Arco Alaska Pipeline. He loved to fish, hunt, and fly his airplane over the Alaskan wilderness.

He was a member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Twila T. Ashton; Daughters, Kathy Ashton Davis (Jeff) and Debbie Ashton Pugh (Kenneth); step-children, Terry Williams (Angela), Tom Williams (Hasmig); Daughter-in-law, JoAnna Williams Hale; 10 Grandchildren, Ryan Davis (Lexi), Tyler Davis, Austin Pugh (Amanda R.) Kayla Pugh Andrew (Ryan), Amanda L. Pugh, Korey Pugh, Madison Williams, Neil Williams, Carli Williams, and Conor Williams; 9 Great Grandchildren, Payton Davis, Maddox Davis, Adyson Davis, Livia Davis, Kitan Davis, Alexus Andrew, Karson Andrew, John Pugh, and Kaitlyn Pugh; Sister, Minnie Mae Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
