Alva Lloyd Graves was born on January 13, 1995 in Morgan City, LA and passed from this life on November 9, 2020 in Ruston, LA. Alva was a member of the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm at WFR Church, 3201 North 7th Street, West Monroe, LA.
Alva was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur “Art” Graves and Patricia “Patye” Graves Faulk. He is survived by his sister, Shelby Graves, brother, Cory Graves, cousins, Sean & Essence Watts who he adored and loved as his own, and his aunt, Kelly Watts. He was also deeply loved by his WFR Church and Celebrate Recovery family.
From the moment Alva came to West Monroe in 2013, he poured himself into God’s word, Celebrate Recovery and got involved with the WFR family. He later found his ministry as part of the Audio team where he ran sound for CR and worship assemblies. He was so proud when he started his job with Burns Mechanical in 2014. He worked from the ground up to become a licensed journeyman plumber. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 141 in Shreveport. Alva was a valuable employee and friend to all who knew him.
