Almeta Marie Washington

Memorial services for Miss Almeta Marie Washington, 86, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, with Father Adrian Fischer, OFM, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Miss Washington was a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors and Southern University Alumni. She was also a retired speech pathologist from Los Angeles unified school district.

Miss Washington is preceded in death by her mother, Lucinda Dillard Ward; father, William Thomas Washington; stepfather, John Wesley Ward; brothers, James Major Washington and Kenneth Ray Ward; and sister, Alice Faye Ward.

She is survived by her brothers, Thomas Andrew Ward, John Perry Ward and Jerry Arnold Ward.
