Funeral services for Mrs. Almeda Wimp Crowe, 91, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 1, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Crowe was born April 20, 1918 in East Prairie, MO and died Friday, May 29, 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe for forty-five years and was active, until the last years of her life, due to health conditions. Mrs. Crowe retired as manager of G.C. Murphy Company and Ouachita Council of Aging with Meals on Wheels.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.W. Crowe; two sisters, Bonitta Paynar and Floella Nation; son, Harry Crowe.
 
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother known as “Bee Bee”.
 
Survivors include her sons, Richard J. “Dickie” Crowe and wife Ann and Tommy Crowe and wife Diane; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Crowe; five grandsons, Richard Crowe, Timothy Crowe, Todd Crowe, Trey Crowe, and Cory Crowe; three great grandsons, Tyler Crowe, Wesley Crowe, and Bailey Crowe; one great granddaughter, Sydney LeAnn Crowe; niece, Damacus McNeely Woods; three nephews, Kenny McNeely, Kyle Crowe, and Bobby Nation.
 
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and Cecil Kaufman. Honorary pallbearers will be the great grandchildren.
 
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
 
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
