Allen Eugene Trahern, Sr.

Services for Mr. Allen “Bean” Trahern, Sr., 62 of Baskin, LA will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at South Central Baptist Church near Wisner, LA with Rev. Prentiss Gandy and Rev. Keith Dowden officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
     Mr. Trahern was a commercial fisherman, a member of Friendship Baptist Church, formerly of South Central Baptist Church, a hard working man that loved his family, especially his wife. 
     He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Trahern Sr., brother Ruben Trahern, Jr., sister Linda Ann McNeese, and step-father Nick Hendrick.
     Survivors are his wife,  Jeanette Trahern of Baskin, LA.,
 son,  Gene Trahern, Jr. and wife Melissa of Baskin, LA.,
daughter,  Susan Janae Hilliard and husband Gene of Baskin, LA.,
sister,  Sue Sikes and husband J. L. of Wisner, LA.,
mother,  Mary Lee Hendrick of Wisner, LA., and
5 grandchildren,  Tara Alissa Trahern,  Hope Elizabeth Trahern,  Skylar Hilliard, Nickolas Allen Hilliard and Madelyn Hilliard.
     Pallbearers are:  Justin Nelson,  Johnny Trahern,  Johnny McDaniel,  Chris Hunt, 
Kevin Ellis, and Billy Ogden.
     Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren;  Tara Alissa Trahern,  Hope Elizabeth Trahern,  Skylar Hilliard, Nickolas Allen Hilliard and Madelyn Hilliard.
