A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Alice Miller Evans Pipes, 91, of West Monroe, LA, will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at her home, 1012 Norris Lane, West Monroe, LA 71291.
Mrs. Pipes was born June 19, 1927, in Midway, LA, to the union of Jesse S. Miller and Gertie Lewis Miller and passed away October 27, 2018.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. In 1954, she and her husband, George Evans opened and operated Evans and Son Clothiers until his death in 1971. In 1974, she married Rip Pipes.
Mrs. Pipes is preceded in death by her husbands, George Evans and Rip Pipes; parents, Jesse and Gertie Miller; sister, Vernita (Sweet) Alexander; and brothers, JD and Jesse (Bill) Miller.
Survivors: her son, Ronnie Ray Evans and wife Karen; stepson, John “Johnny” Pipes and wife Janie; five grandchildren, Amanda Evans Quebedeaux and husband Mike, Britt Evans and wife Layne, Paige Pipes Willis, Shane Pipes and Charlie Lance Pipes; six great grandchildren; Sisters, Gertrude Graves and Anita (Bo) Bourgeois and husband, A. J.; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jackie Smith Cummins and Pat Butler.
