Funeral Services for Alfred Wages Jr., 90, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Nathan Thornton and Rev. Johnny Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Wages was called home on May 8, 2016. Mr. Wages was an avid sportsman and enjoyed deer hunting and white perch fishing. He loved time spent with family, attending church, and enjoyed breakfast with friends at McDonalds. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise Wages; son, David Wages; and daughter, Dorothy Wages.Alfred is survived by his daughter, Melba Saterfiel and husband Doyle, seven grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of extended family. Pallbearers will be Scott Saterfiel, Jeff Wages, Jay Wiley, John Wages, Kyle Wiley, Jared Saterfiel, Corbin Wiley and Dean Dejong. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 on Tuesday at Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Way Apostolic Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shelly, Denise, and the staff of St. Josephs Hospice.
