Alan Patrick Cerniglia

Funeral Services Honoring the Life of Mr. Alan Patrick Cerniglia, 73, of Flower Mound, TX, formerly of Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe with Pastor Ricky Bonnett officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alan was born February 2, 1951, and passed away on October 24, 2024. He was a retired electrical engineer, jack of all trades, mechanic, inventor, and fixer. Alan enjoyed deep sea fishing. His passion was amateur “ham” radio. His call sign was KB5CUS. Alan thoroughly enjoyed cooking and would make it an event, especially the recipe for meatballs, handed down by his Sicilian grandparents. He enjoyed all music, although his favorite artist was Joe Walsh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Cerniglia, Sr., and Marie Zagone Cerniglia; brothers, Frank P. Cerniglia, Jr., George E. Cerniglia, Robert T. "Bobby" Cerniglia and Ulysses S. "Snooky" Cerniglia.

Survivors include his two children, Niki Cerniglia and Anthony Cerniglia; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, who referred to him lovingly as “Grandpa”: Madison, Jacob, Kailey; his beloved “Bunny” Patricia Sudbay; ex-wife, Deborah White; brother, Bernard A. "Butch" Cerniglia and wife TaMara; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

Pallbearers will be Niki Cerniglia, Anthony Cerniglia, Ralph Cerniglia, and Mike Cerniglia.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
