Services for Mrs. Agnes Troha Brownell, 93 of Winnsboro will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Winnsboro, with Father Daniel Corkery, and Father James Nellikunnel officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.Mrs. Brownell was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church of Winnsboro, and member of the Women’s Catholic Society. She was the first female bank vice-president in the state of Louisiana. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family, and loved her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 75 years, James Brownell, Sr., 4 brothers; Joe Troha, Frank Troha, Johnny Troha and Phillip Troha, 3 sisters; Frances Parsons, Pauline Thompson, and Mary Poye.Survivors include: Son, James H. Brownell, Jr. of Diamondhead, MS, daughter, Pamelia Brownell Hense and husband Charles, of Diamondhead, MS, 2 grandsons; Christopher James Brownell and wife Karen of West Monroe, LA, and Jason Graff Wegener and wife Haley of Monroe, LA, granddaughter, Jamie Rhys Ratcliff and husband Dustin of Monroe, LA., 4 great-grandchildren; Averi Rhys Brownell, Dean Jarrett Brownell, Aidan James Wegener, and Eli Micheal Ratcliff.Pallbearers are: Chris Brownell, Jason Wegener, Dustin Ratcliff, Tim Thompson, Gary Troha, Philip Troha, and Joe Troha.Memorials may be made to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church of Winnsboro.Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 20th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
