A. L. "Arkansas" Ashcraft

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of A.L. “Arkansas” Ashcraft, 90, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Bro. Cecil Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Ashcraft was born on August 31, 1927 in Herbine, AR and passed away at his residence on May 12, 2018. He retired from Manville Paper Company (Graphic Packaging) with 39 years of service. Mr. A.L. was an avid knife collector. He is preceded in death by his parents, L. H. and Mary Ellen Tucker Ashcraft; and by his Dog, Freddy and his horse, Hannah.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Sue Freeman Ashcraft; son, David Ashcraft and wife, Kathy; granddaughter, Kelli Barton; two great grandchildren, Megan Barton and Molly Barton.
Pallbearers will be Clark Cooper, Clint Cooper, Kendall Cooper, Sam Roberson, Eric Holton, and Andy Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of West Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
