Victor James “Jim” Lonigro, Jr., of Monroe, LA, a self-employed insurance adjuster, was born January 17, 1952 in Natchez, MS and passed away June 8, 2013 from a sudden illness.

Mr. Lonigro was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy and Joe Green, and Victor James Lonigro, Sr.; and one sister, Vicky Moore.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Camellia Bradford Lonigro; two beloved sons, Eric Lonigro and wife Holly, and Kyle Lonigro; one precious granddaughter, Malayna Monroe Lonigro, all of San Diego, CA; one brother, Nick Lonigro and wife June of Mountain Home, ID; two aunts, Jean Lonigro and Margaret Searcy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and a Vigil Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Jim and I shared a lot of times together in the trenches during hurricanes Ivan, Katrina, Dolly and Irene, plus numerous other storms. I could always count on Jim to come thru as both an employee and a friend. I will miss him....

I was so sorry to hear about Jim. Jim and I were the best of friends while we were in the Army stationed in Germany. We created many great memories and I am so glad we had the opportunity to visit a couple of years ago. He was a great guy! My prayers an thoughts go out to the family.
