Jackie & Dianna, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's "homegoing". There's a big void in Rayville, now; but heaven is a richer place because of your her presence. I know Mrs. Pope & Mother have a lot of visiting to catch up on in Heaven. Mom always knew "Dorothy" as a long and enduring friend and she talked about her quite often. I have so many wonderful memories of the time we lived in Rayville and the times spent with the Pope family. Now 50+ years later, those memories are as fresh as if it was yesterday and still give me with great joy. May God Bless you all during this difficult time. Jimmy

Aunt Dorothy was a classy, elegant lady who made everyone feel special. She lived her faith everyday and gave us all a great example to live by. Danny has wonderful memories of spending many summer days in Rayville. I'm sure she had a time keeping him and Jackie out of trouble!! They probably tormented Dianna when ever possible!! Our son,Daniel, loved her and always enjoyed seeing her at Thanksgiving reunions. Sometimes we take for granted those we love and let time and distance keep us from spending time with them. She would always say, "Honey, I understand." Much love to a special, gracious lady. We will miss you.

Dianna & Larry, Alana & Todd, Jackie & family,Leah & Billy, family members, Please know that our hearts and thoughts are with you, during this time of sorrow. Dorothy set the bar quite high for the rest of us mortal women! I am a better person for having known Dorothy & Jack Pope and for having a special friendship with them. Will Edward and I were honored to share in the "celebration service." We are sure that Linnie, Pearl, Doris, have welcomed Dorothy in the official Holy Land tour!
